An outing is an ideal way to take
a break from our daily routine & Monsoons are the best time to explore the
real beauty of Nature. Hence Team SI had
organised to visit Phanasrai, a scenic spot with waterfalls, which is 8 km away
from Lonavala on 22nd June, 2013.
We started the journey at 0600 hrs
from the SI office, all dressed in SI T- Shirts. On the way in the bus we
played few games one of which was dumb shards (for songs).
The trek started
from the main market in Lonavala. It was a 2 hrs trek with waterfalls on the
way. Once we reached the peak, we were amazed
with the beauty of nature.
We had
an assortment of adventure activities like waterfall rappelling, flying fox,
etc. Initially everyone was scared to participate, but Dr. Yashodhara and Dr.
Sudhir built up everyone’s confidence. Many of us had overcome our fears by
doing rappelling. The flying fox was then an easier task.
The purpose of this adventure
training was to overcome the fears, build communication skills and team work.
It was well received and appreciated by all the team members.
The lunch was delicious meal prepared by the locals in an
authentic way, which we all thoroughly
We played team building games like the amazing race and blind
folded obstacle.
The winners for the amazing race were Team Two.
On the journey back all were very tired and exhausted from
the adventurous activities however, Dr. Sudhir kept everyone entertaining by
saying few shayaris.
Thus, ends our day, which was full of overcoming fears, new
learning and great fun!!!!!!!

I love how social the SI team is, from dinners to surrogate outings to team-building. Keep it up! And post pictures, please. :)
It all sounds both fantastic and wonderful - and lots of fun! I love how SI team makes sure that they break daily routines and bond with eachothers outside the office.
Miss you all! Keep up the spirit!
