Baby
shower was celebrated at SI for one of the surrogate mothers by the IP’s
relative.
Surrogate was given fruits, coconuts, sweets and a sari as a token of
appreciation.
Basically
it is done to welcome the unborn baby to the family and bless the mother-to-be
with abundant joys of motherhood. In Hindi, it is called as godh bharai
literally means to 'fill the lap' with abundance.
