SurrogacyIndia’s focus is in fertility, not infertility. Making babies, is possible. ‘Possible’ is what we believe in.

We invited couples who were part of 100 Babies, but as they couldn't make it, they wrote back to us saying....
Dear Dr Yash, Dr Sudhir, Jaya and all the SI team.
Thank you so much for this invitation. It is amazing that you have made it to 100 babies, and so quickly! I am sure all of the parents of these 100 little miracles are as happy and in love with their children as we are. Our little boys have filled our lives with so much happiness and I will always be thankful for what you and P have done for us. I have attached some photos of the boys - I am sure you will agree that they are very cute :) R now has teeth, is crawling, and starting to make word-sounds (ba, ba, da, da). J is not quite as fast as Rufus but he is sitting up and smiling a lot. With all the dribbling I think his teeth will come soon.
We are not going to be able to make it to Mumbai for the gathering, but we will be there in spirit. We will be thinking of you on this day of celebration for your wonderful achievements.
Regards
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Dr. Yash & Dr. Sudhir!
It is so amazing that you have reached 100 babies already! We are so happy to hear that and of course to be part of this wonderful big family you are creating worldwide!
We love you as our closest family and friends and we owe you our family!
We won't be able to take part at the 100 babies party, but hopefully we'll be able to come to the 1000 babies party soon J
We can't describe in words our yearnings to you and to the entire team, we think about you each and every day and we hope that we'll be able to meet you all soon J
With tons of love and appreciation,

Our 100 Babies celebration.......

The planning for the party got started 1 week back. Planning for the invitation cards, gifts to be given to the guests invited, and the dress code for Team SI, the party hall decoration, who will looking after which department etc was going on...

We all used to have small meetings or discussions for these, and we finally decided for everything like after two meetings we could decide that what should be given as memento to our guests because we wanted to give something that is very innovative yet simple, we wanted to give something which won’t be just a gift but it will be meaning a lot. And finally the idea got clicked and we decide to give a MUG with all our 100 babies’ names embossed on them. It was just an idea but when it got executed it turned out to be very beautiful.

As it was 100 Babies party, all the SI Team members wanted to look their best so we all dressed up and must say all SI Team members were looking awesome. We didn’t miss our chance of getting photo sessions done , we took few pictures .

As clients started coming, we all were there to make them comfortable. The highlighting point in the party was we had three sets of twins.... (ooooo they were looking so adorable... actually all of our babies present at the party were looking happy and gorgeous). The party then started with small speech given by one of our IP Adrian Phipps. Then we started playing small games with our guests. Everyone was very enthusiastic they started participating in games. It was fun but we all then saved some energy for dancing.

Then slowly as music started playing, everyone came on the floor. It was good to see our international clients dancing to the bollywood music. It was visible on the face that all of our guests were thoroughly enjoying the party. The food corner was kept totally Indian as we wanted our international guests to experience the Indian food.

The party was JUST ROCKING..... and the moments are now one of the most memorable part in our life........

Surrogate made felt special in simple yet beautiful way

For Surrogate Mother ( SM) R. it was a special day but there was nothing special happening with her.Until she started receiving some beautiful flowers and a lovely cake from her Intended Parent. We must say she was so happy to get this surprise. Then she cut the cake, enjoyed it and shared it with other surrogates. It was good to see her so happy.

Some of the Moments Captured and Cherished

As we mentioned that we had a blast here we will be sharing the moments we had with each other.
As everyone came in White & Blue, everyone were looking very good. After the cake cutting session we thought of having some good photo sessions. We started with a group photos. Then we started taking photos in different poses.  That day just continued with the photo sessions and the celebrations.

My Story - Dr. Yash

The anguish of not getting something we want, is a feeling we are all familiar with since our childhood. But the anguish of not having a child is the severest of all. This is the strongest desire in mankind and gives the greatest sense of failure if unfulfilled.
We as fertility physicians study and research for years as to the best treatment options for the rapidly growing population of couples unable to be parents. This helps us make half our patients parents but the challenge to us is keeping the hopes of the other half going.

Our Support Group was developed to help and support each other and let couples know that they are not alone!

When i was trying to have a baby 12 years ago, Infertility was not a socially discussed issue. Most of us didn't even tell our moms about this. The depressions were severe and the loneliness tremendous. Every time the cycle failed the days and nights merged in one big blur and my tears soaked my pillows. Still I was unable to openly discuss this emotional upsets with even my closest friends or my sisters. This flamed my desire to be a fertility physician and now to be a part of our online support group.

Don't lose hope for after 4 years of trying and 7 cycles later, today i have a 11 year old princess!

We had such wonderful celebrations yesterday.

We started with blowing up balloons, decorating with sparkles, got a beautiful cake as 100...

We all decided the night before (at 1o pm) that we will wear nice white and blue. A complete one team, SI as always when it comes to any work.
We enjoyed the cake, had nice champagne, and ate lots of cake.We shared the cake with beautiful Surrogate Mothers, as we all know that they play an important role.

We had a small photo shoot session. later we all sat down and shared the beautiful moments that we spent with all our parents and the little bubs. It was heart warming and nice. We really love you all for being there always.

We could have never reached to what we have achieved today.
Please check out our lovely pics of celebrations...

SurrogacyIndia made 100 Babies possible on 14 June, 2011

It was a moment of pride and happiness at SurrogacyIndia!

We completed our 100 babies yesterday, 14th June '2011. We all have been eagerly waiting for this beautiful milestone.

It was a surprise to our Intended Parents, who were extremely happy and were feeling lucky that it was their baby who made the milestone.

And not to mention, Adriano and Matthew were extremely sad that they missed their chance with twins. Actually his babies were scheduled as per dates, but then looks like the babies couldn't wait any longer.

The moment we all came to know about the delivery everyone at the SI office started preparing for the celebration. The joy and the happiness is still continued in the office.....

Keep following us, as soon we will be putting more pics and videos of our celebration :-)

Surrogate Mother Care Taker’s life at SurrogacyIndia

Care Takers play a vital role in providing Surrogate Mother’s to SurrogacyIndia. Caretakers are actually the source for SM to reach or to be part of SI.

As this concept is still not aware fully to everyone in India, it is very necessary that the Care Takers them selves are much aware of the legal, ethical and financial responsibilities. They thus are educated at our office by both doctors, the legal team, psychologist, and our accounts team. They are made to understand that what they are doing is in favour of motherhood.  We promote a lot of surrogate mother who have delivered to become care takers. Not to mention that they are much more aware of the responsibilities that SM has to deliver, being a surrogate herself. To ensure surrogate mother safety, we only have female care takers with us.
At SI, we ask the Care Takers to become shadows of their surrogate mother. Travel, where ever the SM needs to travel, escort at every level, accompany for scans, tests, etc. Thus they start taking responsibility of their own SMs health. She starts keeping a tab on SM’s health graph, her regular advised check ups, medications, house, etc.

Each Care Takers usually have around 5-10 SM under their care. They literally work round the clock , because if the SM comes up with any problem even at midnight and is to be taken to the hospital, she informs the doctors, and accompanies SM to the hospital.

We salute the spirits of our surrogates and the care takers, who literally go miles to make our Intended Parents dreams come true.

Yoga Classes for our surrogate mothers

Yoga sessions for our surrogates is really an innovative or say an healthy idea. This has and is still benefitting our surrogates. As per the feedback we have received from the surrogates after every session, it has brought some changes in them like they feel more relaxed and composed. More and more surrogates are showing interest in this activity because they are aware that
 they will benefit from this.

Yoga is a non medical process which relaxes your minds through meditation and simple exercises. The advantages are that, it calms your mind a lot.  Brings discipline in their daily routine.

Skype session done between Intended Parent and Surrogate Mother

We arranged a Skype session for one of our Australian client. For the surrogate it was going to be first and a new experience. But unfortunately as it was raining her phone got spoiled. So we were finding it hard to reach her. As we promised the Intended Parent that we will be arranging the Skype session for him, we wanted to keep the word. We sent a cab to her home. She then came here and had a session. He was very happy to meet her. We were happy that we could keep our words and keep our Intended Parent happy by connecting them with their surrogate.

We will introduce the people in the video :- Dressed in green is the surrogate, Intended Parent on the Skype and the person dressed in maroon is our SI Team Staff helping them with the translation

25 SI Babies celebration with Indian Baby Shower

We completed our 25 SI Babies on 13 April, 2010. The most important and noticeable part of this party was that we had seven newly born babies under one roof. They all got delivered with gap of one week in between each other.

We had baby shower done for all babies with a difference, i.e. we did it in an Indian style. All new mommies and daddies had loads of fun playing games & taking pictures. Even we had a very good time with them. We all ended up the party with a delicious dinner.

Dr.Sudhir Ajja’s Birthday Bash

It was Friday 3 June, 2011, Dr Sudhir Ajja’s 35th  B’ Day. Everyone in SurrogacyIndia had planned surprise party for him. Preparation for the same got started three days backs itself. We were continuously thinking how to surprise him, what present should we give, and above all how to welcome him... hmmm lot of thinking....

Everyone were scratching their head, but still we were not able to finalize any present for him. We thought of buying some gadgets but then as we realized that he is such a gadget freak, he will be having possible all gadgets with him, so we had to drop the idea. Finally we had to look at Dr. Yash for her help. We finally got some good idea of what we could look for him.

It all started with lots of balloons spread across the floor in the office. He was welcomed into the office midst lots of balloons. The moment he entered he got surprised. Looking at the balloons he got in a playful mood. He decided to play with the balloons, (ie. not even a single balloon should be lying down on the floor and all of us were part of it)

We then started pouring with lovely cards that we all got for him. Each of us went separately and kept him busy with us and not work (for a change). We would had loved to have a table like him (it was full of chocolates).

Our small surprises kept him happy and smiling (big one). Some gave chocolates, some gave personalized gifts, some gave beautiful table pieces.

Wow, now finally, the cake cutting time came (yyyuummmyyy....) . He cut the cake, enjoyed it .. and man didn't we enjoy it (heeeee.....)

He started checking out all his gifts. We could figure out from his beautiful smile that he loved the gifts given to him.

Then he decided to give us a break and he took us out for a lunch to a restaurant. The day ended up with bursting all the balloons lying on the floor.

Trip to Sajan Resort

We all SI Team went to Sajan Resort which is near Bhiwandi to have fun. I must say the break was worth.

I suppose the intention was also to get relaxed and charged up for the coming working days. Because I feel that people like us who work 24 x 7 needs to take a break and have some fun. This helped us to gel with many of our colleagues with whom we do not talk much on our normal working days due to our different working profiles. We could do some of the unexpected adventure sports over there like rappelling, boating etc.

All got tired at the end of the day. Most of them were looking so drained out. SurrogacyIndia works hard when it comes to work but enjoys harder when it comes to having fun..... :-P

We all thank our Managing Directors that they gave us a chance to have fun.

Watching World Cup Match With The SI Team.

We, the SI Team decided to watch World Cup Match in a different way this time. We all went to nice restaurant………. AND AND AND!!! We had a blast watching the world cup match at the Hotel .......... with the whole BIG TEAM SI. We all were cheering our Indian Team and yes they won too... Well i guess our efforts got paid off and our Indian Team won the World Cup this year after 28 years. The last victory was in 1983.
The game started very well with Indian Team, but their performance suddenly plateaued, which made everyone worried. There was a point where we felt that the game is no more in our hands. We all started losing hope. But being true Indians somewhere down the heart we had hoped the best for our Team. As it is said that every cloud has a silver lining, Indians as they are expected to rise from the fall, started playing very well. But, must say Sri Lankans gave us a very tough competition. We really appreciated their effort.
The feeling was awesome we couldn’t control our happiness and joy. We ate, we cheered, we danced, we whistled but we were praying hard for our team. All of the prayers paid off and we won. The feelings can’t be ever expressed in words. It is still fresh in our minds.

Heaviest Baby Born In SI

1Recently two of our surrogates gave birth to SI’s heaviest babies.

SM ...... delivered twin girls both were weighing 3.2 kgs (approx) each. The parents couldn’t control their emotions. They were feeling very happy. Their joy was visible on their face. We noticed one thing their father didn’t miss even a single moment, everything was captured in camera. Even the SI Team members had a very good time when they came down to our office.

Another SM delivered a single baby who weighed the heaviest with 4kgs, which is rare to find in India even when it is a natural delivery. So for us it was a lucky day for the whole SI Team. We all were very proud that day.
This shows that the surrogates took very good care of their health and were living a very healthy lifestyle.

SI Women's Day

It was just an idea which came in one of our colleague’s mind, which when got executed was one of the best celebration we had till date.
Women’s Day means recognizing women power. Our surrogates and egg donors are those who have faced a lot in their life and are still going strong. We all salute them for their effort they put to improve their family’s financial condition.

We even conducted small activities to entertain them. Some of the surrogates participated and sung beautiful songs, did some interesting plays, got some tasty mouth watering dish for the competition and danced till the end. As it was their day we tried our level best to make them feel special. We organized a party where they could show case their hidden talents, which was actually surprising to all of us. We really appreciate their effort for this. This wouldn’t have been successful without the participation of our surrogates and egg donors. They made it happen.

I can say that it also one of the best example for Team Work, because it wouldn’t have been possible just by one person. The whole Team SI came together to make that day one of the memorable day in SI.

Cheers !!!....

Key Things That Made Us Go with SI .. By a Client

We as Team SI have always tried our best in providing our patients, good and standardized service. Below are the few lines, which one of our client expressed about how they feel about us in one of our email. It makes us feel 'Proud'. Thank you so much for loving Team SI.

Dear Dr. Sudhir,

It is truly a joy for me to be a tiny part of your success. Just keep up the good spirit of letting everyone feel special and important! :) There were/are some key things that made us go with SI and why we have been so satisfied. One of these things was that it was you as founder and MD, who took the time to answer all of my 3 millions of questions, never letting me feel troublesome or stupid. I know it is a hard work for you!  Also, both you and Dr.Yash always thought about the best chances for us, never pushing us to start the process earlier. I still remember how you both wrote to me to take my time with weaning Jenni because it could be emotional for both of us. It still warms my heart when I think of your words. As we were new and about to make our choice of clinic, many other clinics sent us some standard "copy-paste" replies or replied very short and incomplete, also letting us wait in weeks. It is hard to build up trust in such a delicate matter, especially if you never have met each others in person and you are thousands of kilometers apart. Copy-paste replies just don't work.
We really got this family-feeling when we visited SI, everybody working in same direction, for the "good thing" and we never got this  "baby-fabric-feeling" that the Swedish media so keenly wants to serve about surrogacy in India. Unfortunately, I'm sure there are both good and bad clinics in India, just as everywhere in the world. It was wonderful for us to learn that you take truly good care of your surrogates, they are as important as the IP's. And of course, that you carefully choose out your SM. This has to be a win-win situation for both IP's and SM, other ways it would be very wrong. We also had so good experience with both your lawyer, Amit and your kind drivers, Vikas and Ajit. Last but definitely not the least, we truly enjoyed spending time with you and Dr. Yash in Mumbai. You are such wonderful persons and I'm so happy to know you!

Great hugs and lots of good energy to you all - including our SM. We are awaiting our scan result with great excitement!

Parents from UK, Child from (Surrogacy) India

Intended parents Mr & Mrs B T, visited India last year to select a surrogate and have child of their own genes. The couple had tried numerous clinics in UK to get pregnant through various IVF procedures. Having failed after putting the best efforts to pursue surrogacy in UK, this couple never lost faith and trust to have a child and established India as their dream destination.
This is the story of many couples in UK who are unable to get around the legal system, financial costs or the waiting period in UK.
How many of these couples are aware of the laws for the child born outside UK, through surrogacy program?
Three stages for understanding Surrogacy in India for parents from UK

Basic requirement of the couple: The couple needs to be a married couple or either of them has to be domicile of UK to apply for parental order in UK. In married case, it is the domicile of the father which will be considered for parental order. In case the couple is not married, it will be considered as single parent Surrogacy.
It is the primary responsibility of the seeking couple to speak to UK embassy and / or legal team before taking this giant step.
Kindly also see the HFEA (Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority) code of practice in UK.

Understanding Indian scenario: The couple has to be very patient and should contact the right agency in India who understand and have complete information about surrogacy’s legal system in both the countries, India and UK. They should not get carried away by promises made by clinics about the higher pregnancy chances from their surrogate mothers. In fact most of the clinics across the world have the same rate of positive pregnancy in Surrogacy programs. The couple looking for surrogate mother should also focus at long term goals if the clinic / agency will provide any assistance for visa / passport preparation.

Traveling back to UK: The couple will travel to UK with their baby on visa obtained from UK Embassy in India. For obtaining the passport, it is crucial that the birth certificate declares the names of the intended parents and not the surrogate mother. Parental order process progresses along with. In case the parents are not married or not domiciled in UK, they have no option but to adopt the child.
In all cases it is imperative to inform the Home Office, UK

To read more about the above information, Surrogacy in India and understand the complete process visit www.surrogacyindia.com. SurrogacyIndia, is the first and only such organization in India who understands and make possible, completing families, for these couples from UK. They have an associate in UK to facilitate intended parents activities in UK.

Our Journey with Surrogacy India

We have had a long journey to begin our family. Much of our search turned up empty when looking into options. IUI, IVF, International and domestic adoption, and surrogacy here in the United States all lead us to a dead end. Even when we finally decided to pursue surrogacy in India we came up short of answers. That was until we found Dr. Sudhir and Dr. Yashodhara with Surrogacy India.
Don’t get me wrong we had our fears of a phony website created for desperate couples searching for answers. Not to mention, that us Westerners are probably inherently more non trusting then most other cultures. Both Gerry and I will definitely admit that any of the small fears, doubts and anxieties that we still had after our long phone conversations and numerous internet contact with both of the Docs immediately faded away when we met both of them in person in India. We were more than impressed and pleased.
One of the most common questions we get is ‘Was there anything that disappointed you about India or Surrogacy India?’ We have searched long and hard for anything and honestly have said over and over that, ‘NO, absolutely nothing, in fact we were pleasantly surprised and thrilled with our entire experience.
With that said… we have graciously accepted the offer to provide others with answers and give hope in their own personal journey toward surrogacy. So if you have ANY questions of either of us about our experience please don't hesitate to ask. Also, take a moment to visit our personal BLOG about our own journey: http://ourjourneytosurrogacyinindia.blogspot.com/
Welcome to Surrogacy India we are glad you visited.
